The Question of Jerusalem and Its Final Legal and Political Status (1947) addresses Jerusalem’s unresolved sovereignty at the end of the British Mandate. Because of its religious importance and competing national claims, the UN proposed international administration of the city to prevent conflict, but disagreement over the plan left its status undecided.
